»O, Brda – my sweet homeland, sweeter than a bunch of grapes which shines over the door of a house in autumn's glory. Brda my sweet and dear homestead …«

Who tastes our wines will easier understand the poet's message.

Wine-growing farm Štekar, a homestead with soul, has had a wide reputation for its vintage wines. Guests can taste them in our cellar where our rich traditional dishes are served or in warm evenings under the pergola on the terrace under the trellis. They can create the same pleasant atmosphere in their own houses when they open our chosen bottles of wine and remember the homestead with soul and Goriška brda region.

All our wines are organically produced and cared for with century long love of our grandads and sons.

In our vineyards which are spread along the Brda hills (almost 7 hectares of the land), the predominant wine is Rebula, a clean and fresh type of wine from Brda. We also produce Sivi pinot (Pinot Gris), Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Our speciality is wine Emilio, called after our grandad Emil.
