At the Štekar's the weather is always friendly and the climate is warm. When it is minus 15 degrees in Ljubljana, the temperature at Snežnatno never goes below zero. When the first sunbeams appear the air is immediately filled with warmth of rainbow rays. No frost, no snow and no fog! It's an ideal place for walks, chatting over a good drink, talking with friends, making plans for the spring …

SPRING

If you want to experience the real spring, spring among numerous blooming cherries and vineyards waking up, then the most beautiful place to visit is the village Snežatno and its surroundings. When you have a sit, walk along blossoming gardens or just relax on the terrace in front of the Štekar's homestead, your eyes will be grateful because they will rest observing the beauties of Goriška brda region and Friuli lowlands as well they will able to catch the far away sky blue sea. Spring first knocks on the Štekar's door and remains there for ever and ever … Around the first of May the first cherries ripen.

SUMMER

Summers are also very nice; you can spend them in our rooms where heat does not come because of thick walls or you can just sit on the terrace in front of the house. The pool at the farmyard is a perfect place where children and adults can cool down a bit. In the evening a nice place to sit and enjoy the atmosphere in the terrace under the pergola … Summer finishes very late, at the end of October, when autumn has already started everyhere else. Most of the times it is so nice to be under the trellis that singing of a nightingale is heard with the first dawn from the nearby hedge ...

AUTUMN

They say that autumn is the spring of intellectuals. That is why in autumn there are more and more visitors. It starts with the grape harvest, continues with must rastling and talks under the trellis about the harvest … all the way to St. Martin, which creates the greatest natural miracle each year in the cellar.

Autumn can be more deeply experienced by smelling rosemary and lavender in the yard, under the lemon tree, observing the plantation of oranges … or just enjoying the soft autumn warmth.
