The statement that the wine-growing farm Štekar is a HOMESTEAD WITH SOUL has not been trumped up. At this place the first house was built in 1771. According to the rumours our house was the first house in the village Snežatno and our natives were originally from Bavaria.

The Štekar family started with farm tourism in 1986, but after the independence of Slovenia we got more seriously involved in it. We like to admit that the wine-growing which has had a centuries-long tradition and farm tourism which has lasted for a quarter of a century go hand in hand very well.
